1. About the founding associates

Our Company, PT TANAHWANGKO PARADISE RESORT, is a PT PMA Company, which is a limited Indonesian company founded with 100% foreign assets and ruled by four French shareholders..

1. M. HUET Frédéric is the director of the company. He has been in Indonesia since 1995 and he manages a French Telecom Group Subsidiary in Indonesia. He is an entrepreneur. He has been a diving instructor for 23 years and he is also Aikido instructor. He is a passionate of wine tasting and loves fine cuisine. He dedicates himself to high standard hostelry.

2. M. CASTAGNES Gilles, is at the moment a French literature lecturer and researcher at Seoul University. He is a keen scuba diver and practices mountain biking and long distance running (marathon, triatlon)

3. M. SOUESME Marie Bernard, is a biologist and a specialist in marine biology. Therefore he is also scuba diver.

4. M. WIRTH Christophe, is a PADI diving instructor and practices many different sports On his free time he assists M. Huet Frederic on this project. Previously he worked at Jakarta’s French International School between 1994 and 2004. He is also a keen Indonesian antique artefact collector.

2. Founding the Company

The BKPM (Badan Koordinasi Penaman Modal) which is the Investment Coordination Board has given us the authorization to create a PT PMA Company on August 6th 2007.
Since then the « Certificate of Company Domicile » was registered under the number 1501/.824.1/2007 on November 1st 2007.
In the meantime the Ministry of Finance (Departemen Keuangan Republik Indonesia) issued the « Certificate of Registered Status on November 6th 2007 and established the Company’s Taxpayer ID Number (NPWP)
Eventually our company was officially ratified by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights on January 8th 2008
PT TANAHWANGKO PARADISE RESORT is a Limited Company with 400.000 USD (~257.000 euros.) paid up capital and its domiciliation is still in Jakarta.
In 2008, we hired our first employee, an accountant in Jakarta and then, we have now 6 employees on site.


3. Our main goals

PT Tanahwangko Paradise’s main goal is to allow for the discovery of the rich Minahasa culture and the beauty of this region as well as the hospitality of the local people.
We also want to take part in the protection and the operation of the Bunaken National Marine Park.
Thus we are willing to promote the Minahasa Province abroad, to welcome tourists in a charming, comfortable and intimist hotel.
To make our guests’ stay as fascinating as possible we will organize a lot of activities to feel the beating heart of Minahasa!


4. Our philosophy

We want to promote eco-friendly tourism!
Thus we will use the latest technologies which reduce the impact on the Environment (water recycling with the « Wastewater Gardens System », solar water heater, photovoltaic electricity, and the use of economic electrical devices)
Through the hotel management and different social actions, we intend to develop a collective awareness of environmental matters and especially of the protection of Bunaken Marine Park, which is a real natural beauty to be protected for future generations.

5. The site

PT Tanahwangko Paradise bought a 1,2 hectare estate in the North Sulawesi Province, Kabupaten Minahasa, Tombariri district.
The land is located between Ranowangko village and Popoh village. It’s surrounded by hilly and lush landscapes, and the view toward the sea reveals the Manado Tua volcanic Island which is the most majestic island in the Bunaken National Park. This location is about 30 km away from Sam Ratulangi International Airport (allow approximately one hour to reach the hotel site)
Please note that arrival by speed boat can be arranged from the Manado’s harbour.

6 The activities of PT Tanahwangko Paradise

a. Hostelry and catering trade (indonesian fine cuisine and international cuisine)

d. Mountain biking and trekking tours, rafting
e. Ethno tourism et Eco tourism
f. Spa
g. Martial arts and yoga
h. Later: sailing cruises and explorations to Papua and Maluccu Islands.

In North Sulawesi, 70% of the tourists are foreigners and most of them are scuba divers.
Therefore our core activity will be Scuba diving.
But our location, on the mainland and in the countryside, gives us the great opportunity to diversify the range of activities and allows us to promote new ones which have never been brought to the market in North Sulawesi.
? For sport lovers we shall offer: trekking (countryside and volcanoes), Mountain biking, golf and other marine activities (sailing, sea kayak and fishing).
? Otherwise we shall organize more relaxing ones like spa and massage, cultural and eco tourism.
